It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Retired Chief Bob “Bubba” Beatty.

Chief Beatty proudly served the Chippewa fire department for approximately twenty seven years. He was Chief from 1994 to 1996 and retired in 1997.

He passed away in his Chippewa Township home on New Years morning.

A man of public service, he also held membership throughout the years in the Rochester, West Mayfield and the Wurtemburg-Perry fire departments.

An avid bowler, Bubba represented Chippewa well in the fire department bowling leagues.

Being a volunteer firefighter was a passion that he shared with his family. Two of his three sons served at various times in several different departments including Beaver Falls, Ellwood,   White Twp., Darlington as well as Chippewa. His Granddaughter served in Darlington and is currently a member of the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company and his daughter and son in law both currently serve here in Chippewa as a social member and Assistant Chief respectively.

Chief Beatty, for your years of service, dedication and friendship, we salute you.

Rest easy for you have completed your service with faithfulness and fortitude.
