Mutual aid

Yesterday, Station 22 responded an Engine and a Ladder company as a mutual aid response for a structure fire in Big Beaver Borough.

Arriving units found smoke and flames coming from the eves of the two story farm house.

Crews made quick work of exposing and extinguishing the  stubborn fire that traveled from the first floor to the second and into the attic within the confines of the wall.

Other mutual aid companies included Darlington (station 18) and Beaver Falls (station 11). The Beaver County structural fire Strike Team was also called to assist bringing additional firefighters from several companies across the county.

The cold weather and slippery conditions provided some challenges but, crews were able to wrap things up within a couple of hours and there were no injuries.
