June 4, 2022

Shortly after 12 Noon today, station 22 along with engine 90 and Engine 33 were dispatched for a vehicle fire on Rt. 51 north bound.

Engine 22 arrived quickly to find the driver had done a quick knock down with a fire extinguisher.  All other units were returned to service as the crew from Engine 22 aggressively put out the remaining fire which was contained to the underside of the engine compartment.

The drivers son was visibly upset during the ordeal. Several members made sure to console the young man during operations. But, just how do you console a young boy who just went through such a scary event? Firefighter, Hunter Hagy, had the answer. During the cleanup process, he let the young boy play fireman! By the time we left the scene, the tears had turned to smiles!
