A Busy Thursday

November 5, 2020

The Chippewa Fire Department was a little bit busy today, responding to three calls in about five hours!

At approximately 11:40am we were alerted for a fire alarm at Noah’s Arc daycare on Darlington Road. The alarms were set off by burnt food and crews returned to the station.

About one hour later, the Engine and Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident at the New Castle interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. A car had collided with a tractor trailer at an intersection just outside the interchange and there were injuries to the two people in the car.

Then, at about 2pm, Big Beaver requested us on Sylvania Drive for a small barn on fire. Crews made quick work of it but, the structure was destroyed.
