Shortly after 6pm tonight, we were alerted to a residential fire alarm at a residence on Blackhawk Rd.

Within three minutes of that alarm, we were also alerted to a dumpster on fire at a home on Achortown Rd.

Fire Police Captain, John Syka got on scene of the fire alarm and investigated. He advised responding engine 22 that it was a false alarm.
Engine 22 then diverted to the dumpster fire.
Upon arrival, Engine 22 encountered a small working dumpster fire. Crews made quick work of extinguishment.

Responding units included Engine 22, Squad 22-5, Brush 22 and Tanker 61 ( South Beaver ).
