Friday evening, shortly after 8pm we were alerted for a single vehicle accident on Toll I-376.

Rescue 22 along with Turnpike personnel responded and upon arrival found a black Subaru in the grass median with front end damage.

Crews ascertained that the car had hit a deer as it approached the Chippewa interchange.

No one in the car was injured. The deer, however, died from the impact.

R-22 crews cleared the the roadway of debris and returned to service. Turnpike personnel remained on scene.
