Engine 22 was requested to a Township residence today for a very special reason...Kip turned two today and he loves firefighters! Kip has his own turnout gear and helmet and constantly tells his family that firefighters keep people safe!
Kips Mom wanted to bring him to the firehouse to see the trucks but, due to Covid restrictions, that wasn’t possible and a parade with lights and sirens might have been a bit too intense for this shy little guy. Instead, Engine 22 made a surprise stop during Kips birthday party!!
After sanitizing the Engine, Probationary members Callie Dodge and Ryan Soisson, along with Assistant Chief David Przybysz, drove over and presented Kip with a small gift and aided him and his family while they toured the Engine. Firefighter/EMT Brant Kish and Probationary firefighter/EMT Hunter Hagy, were out in Squad 22 on a medical call in the area and also joined in the festivities.
The Chippewa Fire Department thanks Kip and his family for allowing us to be part of his special day! |
